BMCE’s existing office was too small and no longer fit for purpose. The business wanted to stay close to Bermondsey and find a space on a competitive budget. Being structural engineers and moving away from Lower Ground space, the building had to be of high quality construction with good levels of natural light.
The search unlocked several opportunities but one building stood out as a front-runner due to it’s proximity to the existing office, size and shape of the floor. The floor needed a level of refurbishment so we negotiated a package with the Landlord that reflected such works and supported with recommendations of fit out and furniture contractors.
Acquisition of a self-contained floor at Little London, Mill Street on a 5 year lease with a break option on the 3rd year. As part of the deal a competitive rent and substantial rent free package was negotiated to reflect the works required to the space to bring it up to the standard required for BMCE.
